Dennis McKenna Book Launch in NYC with The Psychedelic Assembly
Mark your calendars for 02/18 and join us 1-6 pm for the grand opening of the Athenaeum – a membership-supported psychedelic workspace, cultural forum, venue, and library in Midtown Manhattan. This special event will also be a book launch for the highly anticipated re-release of The Brotherhood of the Screaming Abyss: My Life with Terence McKenna by renowned ethnopharmacologist Dr. Dennis McKenna.
Dr. McKenna will be present to speak and sign a limited number of books, so come early to secure your copy! This event will also include live talks, a visionary art exhibition in the gallery space, and a special performance (details TBA). We hope to see you there!

Chronicling the McKenna brothers’ childhood in western Colorado during the 1950s and 1960s, Dennis writes of his adolescent adventures including his first encounters with alcohol and drugs (many of which were facilitated by Terence), and the people and ideas that shaped them both. Brotherhood of the Screaming Abyss weaves personal narrative through philosophical ideas and tales of psychedelic experimentation.
